Q:

Salaam Alaykum. I’m planning on dropping the communication completely with a boy I wanna marry (he wants it too) ,in order to make it halal. But we can’t get married until around 2 years if not more. We really love each other and we want this badly. He’s from a different continent too. Stopping the communication will affect our relationship a lot,but should I hope Allah swt will be more likely to give us the marriage after we drop this Haram?

A:

Alaikum salam sister.

You have made a wise plan and should be consistent in abiding by it.
A relationship outside wedlock is haram and one has to bear the consequences of it not only presently, but rather in the future as well considering the generation they want to bring about.
This couple of years gap that you have decided for yourselves will make you think and read about the spouse you’re about to select for yourself and your future generation. It would do the same for the boy as well.
If the partner you have selected does have the right qualities for a spouse which should be the dream of every Muslim woman, then inshAllah with prayers it will turn out according to your expectations. Staying away for Haram would always make the doors of Mercy and blessings of Allah open towards you.

But if you are Sure of this relation and the commitment in entails then kindly refer to the link Below for further guidance:
